| In Memoriam: Elaine Brown Molé (1910-1997) |
Elaine Molé died unexpectedly on November 26, 1997. She was a remarkable woman in many ways and will be sadly missed by her large family and by the 300 friends who attended her funeral at Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, New Jersey on Saturday, December 6, 1997.
At the service her grandson, Michael M Taggart, delivered a moving "Family Remembrance" of Elaine, and we hope to be able to publish it here for all to share.
In her memory, the family has established the Elaine B Molé Library Fund to provide endowment support for the Reading Room at Elaine's School, the Kent Place School, 42 Norwood Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901. This will be a fitting way to create a memorial for one who had Elaine's love of reading and enduring interest in a wide variety of subjects.
